  • The Friuli Venezia Giulia region is located in the northern Italy (green in the map on the left); Interesting zones for stereo observation are the Carso and the Estern Alps.

  • The stereo-perspective view displays a low deformation along the X direction. The original Geodetic Reference System is UTM WGS84 zone 32. The pixel resolution of this view is about 5m.

  • To speed up browsing stereo images have been compressed from 24 to 8 bits although this degrades the rendering of flat areas.
